What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Center Pool Staff Lead position at Port Susan Camping Club?
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 16 years old. Under 18 requires authorization to work from school and parents
- Valid driver’s license or State ID
- Pleasant attitude and neat appearance
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Utilize the chain of command for all procedural matters and problem resolution.
- Perform all daily opening and closing pool duties including, but not limited to, straightening pool furniture, storing pool items, and locking up pool gates.
- Supervise the pool area at all times.
- Warn swimmers of unsafe activities and enforce water safety policies and pool rules.
- Follow written and oral instructions and ability to work independently.
- Remain alert, courteous, and helpful to all members, guests, and coworkers.
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION CONTINUED:
- Inspect pool equipment, facilities, and water to ensure safety and usability.
- Assist with scheduling staff.
- Administer swim tests and assign pass or fail based on a checklist of skills.
- Work cooperatively with other PSCC departments as needed.
- Document any incidents and or injuries that occur in or around the pool area.
- Other duties as assigned.
