What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Head Ranger position at Port Susan Camping Club?
PURPOSE: To safeguard Port Susan members, their guests and property in accordance with the rules and regulations established by the Board of Directors within the framework of the 1996 by-laws, in a member-friendly manner.
GENERAL DUTIES:
- Supervise the Ranger, Site Cleanliness and ERT Staff
- Ensure that all Rangers maintain a friendly and respectful demeanor toward Park members, guests and staff
- Coordinate activities and interactions with other divisions and outside resources
- Act as key contact for member complaints, problem reports and disputes
- Manage the working schedule
- Review and approve time off and time sheets in Paychex
- Ensure that all Rangers are trained on the rules, policies and procedures
- Review and issue all infraction for violation of the rules
- Ensure that Rangers are following the Carding in and out of all members and guests.
- Review and monitor guest passes.
- Keep SOP updated as processes change in the park.
- Ensure that all Rangers are trained in Safety and Emergency Response
- Keep record of all member interactions including violations.
- Order supplies and uniforms
- Ensure that Rangers are doing daily vehicle inspections.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Washington State Driver's License
- Bondable
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
- Pleasant attitude and tidy appearance.
- One (1) year experience Security, Law Enforcement or Park Ranger
- Five (5) years Supervisor experience of more than 5 individuals Management of multiple shifts
- Must be able to provide references upon request.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Proven experience in developing, administering and monitoring worker safety programs
- Must have current certification in CPR, ERT, and ICS or become certified shortly after hire
- Must have reliable transportation.
