Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, providing detailed descriptions of dishes and beverages.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using our POS system.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and sanitation.
- Upsell menu items including specialty cocktails, wines, spirits, and desserts to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales.
- Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change.
- Maintain knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures to ensure guest safety at all times.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any guest concerns promptly to foster a positive dining atmosphere.
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or high-volume settings.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally.
- Demonstrated ability in wine knowledge, spirits experience, cocktail preparation, and beverage service.
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and sales transaction processing.
- Culinary experience or food industry background preferred to better understand menu items and food preparation processes.
- Knowledge of sanitation practices, food safety regulations, and proper food handling techniques.
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining a friendly demeanor.
- Experience in bussing tables, host/hostess duties, or cashiering is a plus for versatile support within the team.
