What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Assistant - Security position at Port Security Services?
Operations Assistant - Must be available/flexible (24/7) if needed.
The right candidate must be reliable, flexible, energetic, responsible, speaks and understands English, has good/great communication skills, must be a team player, willing to learn, have reliable transportation and wants to work.
This is a guaranteed 40 Hours a week, full-time position which is comprised of Security Operations Oversight / Scheduling work and Guard Post work. Person will also be required to perform assigned dates/time after hours "on-call" duties (manning the 24/7 hotline; securing guards to replace any call outs; fixing guard schedule as needed; dealing with general and emergency guard issues). You are compensated while performing "On-Call" work as well.
This is a "Hybrid" job -- meaning remote work from home, under management oversight is a part of your 40 hours. For example: a possible schedule could be 3 days of "remote" at home work (managing schedule; updating employee files, etc) and the remaining 2 days would be on-post Guard work. We offer a FLEXIBLE schedule and will work with person's personal needs as long as they do the job.
- Security SCHEDULING Experience a plus and will result in the highest pay range

Requirement Must Haves:
- Current CT Guard Card
- Current Driver's License
- Current TWIC card or willing to apply for one within 7 days from hire date. (Website: tsa.gov)
- Must Have TWIC Receipt in hand / given to PSS Mgt before you can begin work
- Must pass a background check and drug test
- Minimum of GED or High School Diploma along with previous experience of a minimum of 1 year in the field.
- Be computer literate
- Understand new computer programs and mastering them in a short time
- Microsoft Office experience
Operations Assistant responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Scheduling
- Assist with On/Off Boarding employees
- Assisting with after-hours calls/emergencies
- Scheduled "On-Call" person -- will be compensated when/if performing on-call work
- Expected: 40 Hours a week
- Covering posts/shifts as needed
- Making sure posts/sites have what they need to do the job
- Other items as needed
