In this vital role, you will manage front desk operations, coordinate patient appointments, and ensure seamless communication between patients and medical staff. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in medical administrative support and health information management within a fast-paced clinical setting. We need Monday, Tuesday and Thursday shifts.8 am-6 pm
Duties
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive experience from the moment they arrive
- Schedule patient appointments accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Power 2 Practice
- Verify patient information, process payments.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems, including documentation review, filing, and updating patient information securely in compliance with HIPAA policies
- Answer multi-line phone systems with proper phone etiquette, directing calls efficiently and taking detailed messages when necessary.
- Support clinical staff by preparing care plans, reviewing documentation for accuracy, and maintaining organized medical records
Requirements
- Proven experience in a medical office environment or healthcare setting with strong clerical skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and 10-key typing capabilities
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and in person while maintaining professionalism
- Ability to handle sensitive patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively
- Clinic experience or healthcare administrative support background is highly desirable
