What You'll Do
As Controller, you'll be the financial backbone of our operations, driving strategy and execution across multiple units. Your impact will be felt daily as you:
- Lead all accounting operations - GL, AP/AR, payroll, and month-end close
- Deliver accurate, actionable financial statements that inform critical business decisions
- Partner with leadership to shape budgets, forecasts, and growth strategies
- Build and strengthen internal controls that scale with our expansion
- Guide financial planning for new store openings and strategic investments
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and key vendor relationships
- Implement systems and processes that support rapid growth
- Coordinate audits and ensure flawless tax compliance
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations and HR to optimize labor costs and business planning
Who You Are
You're a finance pro with restaurant DNA. You've seen the chaos of multi-unit operations and know how to bring order, insight, and strategic thinking to the table.
Must-haves:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA a plus)
- 5 years in accounting/finance within restaurant, hospitality, or multi-unit retail (non-negotiable)
- Multi-unit or multi-brand financial management experience
- Rock-solid understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
- Mastery of accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and Excel
- Exceptional communication skills - can translate numbers into narratives
- Track record of thriving in high-growth, fast-paced environments
- Positive energy and relationship-building skills with franchisees, vendors, and team members
- Collaborative spirit and willingness to dive into special projects
PLEASE NOTE: You must reside in Reno, NV (or close proximity) AND you must have experience within the restaurant, hospitality, or multi-unit retail to be considered.
