POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Sales Executive/Account Executive to join our growing team in the Houston market. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities for Port Jersey’s comprehensive suite of supply chain solutions including warehousing, transportation management, and fulfillment services. This role requires a hunter mentality, strong relationship-building skills, and a deep understanding of the logistics and supply chain industry.
POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Ø Business Development & Prospecting:
· Actively prospect for new clients through various channels, including cold calling, networking, industry events, and digital outreach.
· Identify and research potential leads, understanding their logistics challenges and pain points.
· Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to meet and exceed assigned sales targets.
Ø Sales Process Management:
· Conduct initial discovery calls and meetings to qualify leads and understand client needs.
· Collaborate with the operations and solutions design teams to develop customized logistics solutions and proposals.
· Present compelling value propositions and negotiate contracts to close new business.
· Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to contract signing and a smooth handoff to the account management team.
Ø Client Relationship Management:
· Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with new clients to ensure their satisfaction and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
· Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing insights and recommendations to improve their supply chain efficiency.
Ø Market & Industry Knowledge:
· Stay current with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
· Attend trade shows and conferences to represent the company and expand professional network.
Ø Administrative & Reporting:
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities and client information in the CRM system.
· Provide regular reports on sales performance, pipeline status, and market feedback to management.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS & ABILITIES
· 3 -5 years of proven sales experience in the logistics, supply chain, or 3PL industry.
· Demonstrable track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
· Experience selling complex logistics solutions (e.g., warehousing, fulfillment, LTL, FTL, drayage).
· Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Strong business acumen and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Strong understanding of supply chain concepts and terminology.
· Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
