The Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team delivers intensive, community‑based services designed to help individuals achieve stability, independence, and improved quality of life.
As An ACT Intern, You Will
- Participate in initial assessments and support the development of Person‑Centered Plans (PCP)
- Observe and assist with individual and group therapy sessions
- Collaborate with ACT team members to support treatment planning and service delivery
- Utilize ACT‑based analytical and recovery‑oriented approaches to adjust strategies and interventions
- Provide modeling, reinforcement, redirection, and guidance to promote independence and skill development
- Gain exposure to crisis response, care coordination, and community‑based behavioral health services
How You’ll Benefit

- Apply academic knowledge in a professional behavioral health setting
- Gain a deeper understanding of the ACT model of care
- Develop skills in assessment, documentation, collaboration, and client engagement
- Learn how multidisciplinary teams work together to deliver integrated, person‑centered care
- Build experience supporting high‑need populations in community settings
To be considered, you must be:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program related to mental health, human services, psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet‑based applications
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to complete assigned projects independently and on time
- Strong commitment to confidentiality and professional ethics
- Interest in community‑based behavioral health and recovery‑oriented care
