What are the responsibilities and job description for the Violin/Viola Instructor position at Port City Music?
PORT CITY MUSIC is currently accepting applications for a violin instructor to join our team of teachers.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Instructors provide one-on-one piano instruction with students in levels (beginner to advanced) and ages (5 to adult)
- Instructors will work around 1-2 days a week, and have back to back students for approximately 4-6 hours each day.
- Our studio teaches lessons throughout the summer and school year.
- Instructor has the freedom to create and compile their own lesson plans, curriculum, and method of teaching.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have a Music degree OR experience teaching private lessons before
- Must have own transportation
- Must be interested in working with students of all ages and experience, cultivating relationships with students and their families, and providing a fun and educational atmosphere
- Must be available Monday afternoons and evenings
- Must be able to provide a resume with at least two references
