JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Caterer to assist in executing catering orders and maintaining high standards of food service and customer satisfaction. The Caterer will work closely with the Catering Manager to ensure that all catering operations are carried out smoothly and efficiently. This role involves preparing and delivering catering orders, maintaining cleanliness and organization, and providing excellent hospitality to our clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Order Preparation and Delivery:
- Assist in the preparation and packaging of catering orders to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Deliver catering orders to clients within the assigned radius, maintaining timely and professional service.
- Follow specific instructions for dietary needs and event customizations.
Inventory and Stock Management:
- Support the Catering Manager in managing inventory levels and restocking supplies as needed.
- Track and report inventory usage and shortages.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of food and beverages.
Client and Guest Interaction:
- Provide exceptional hospitality during client interactions, ensuring a positive experience.
- Assist in setting up catering orders at client locations when needed.
- Address basic client inquiries or concerns professionally and promptly.
Food Safety and Cleanliness:
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines as outlined by the Local Health Department.
- Maintain cleanliness in food preparation and delivery areas.
- Report any safety or quality concerns to the Catering Manager.
Teamwork and Operations:
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to meet catering order deadlines.
- Follow instructions and procedures as set by the Catering Manager.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and ensure consistency in operations.
Miscellaneous:
- Assist in other duties as assigned by the Catering Manager to support the department's needs.
- Uphold the core values and mission statement of Port City Java in all aspects of the role.
HOSPITALITY / ACCOUNTABILITY:
- Greet every guest with a friendly, positive attitude.
- Handle catering orders with care and accuracy.
- Communicate any guest feedback or issues to the Catering Manager.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
