Job Summary
Port Angeles Composites is seeking a Manager, Manufacturing to lead our production operations and support our growing team. In this role, you will oversee daily manufacturing performance, manage cross-functional teams, and drive continuous improvement across composite fabrication processes. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who can balance safety, quality, delivery, and cost while building an engaged and high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily manufacturing operations to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives
- Manage, develop, and support supervisors and production teams
- Establish and maintain standard work, production controls, and efficient processes
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including yield, scrap reduction, and labor efficiency
- Plan staffing levels and manage departmental budgets
- Track performance metrics and analyze data to improve operations
- Partner with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Program teams to meet production goals
- Communicate expectations, goals, and performance across teams
- Support employee training, engagement, and retention
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred
- Minimum 8 years of progressive manufacturing experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment required
- Experience in composite manufacturing, aerospace, or advanced materials preferred
- Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and Six Sigma principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis tools
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
