TITLE: Summer School Program Paraprofessional-Elementary
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Assists the summer school classroom teacher by performing assigned duties related to students' instructional objectives. (e.g., reinforcing instruction under the direction and supervision of the teacher or building administrator, assembling and preparing instructional materials, and assisting students with transitions during the day.) Summer Session is June 29- July 23, Monday-Thursday only. July 2nd Holiday-Schools and Offices Closed. All Summer School classes will be held at Poquoson Elementary School.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Associate's Degree; or higher; or High school diploma or equivalent with additional 90 semester credit hours from accredited institutions; or High School Diploma or equivalent with addition of passing a rigorous test as approved by the Virginia Department of Education for purposes of becoming highly qualified under the No Child Left Behind legislation.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Contingent upon student enrollment. 1 hour orientation on June 24, 2026- 15 days: June 29-July 23rd, M-Th only July 2nd holiday Schools and offices closed, 8:30-12:30 daily. Pay of $17.76/hour
