POSITION TITLE: Educational Interpreter for Summer Academy 2026 - Deaf and Hard of Hearing

- Facilitates communication for assigned student(s) who are deaf, hard of hearing or blind/deaf so that they can participate in the educational setting and access the general education curriculum.
- Work with individual students who are deaf, hard of hearing or deaf/blind, translating spoken and written information into sign language.
- Provide interpreting services for educational meetings, athletic events, extracurricular activities and graduation as assigned.
- Provide tutorial services for assigned students when necessary.
- Work closely with Exceptional and General Education teachers, case managers, and other interpreters to ensure a good environment and sound curriculum experiences and activities.
- Attend parent-teacher conferences and IEP meetings as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Consult with Elementary School or Student Services staff as needed, including notification of any absences (in advance when possible).
- Communicate with parents as appropriate.
