Pay Rate:
$14 / $15 base rate tips (Expected at $6 Plus as it is in other USA stores - shared across whole team)

At PopUp Bagels, our shops are built around great food, great energy, and memorable guest experiences. As a front of house team member, you are the face of the shop through welcoming guests, taking orders, and delivering hot, fresh bagels with speed and enthusiasm. This role helps ensure every guest interaction reflects the hospitality, energy, and quality that PopUp Bagels is known for.
Front of house maintain the appearance and flow of the front of the shop, operate registers, bag and hand off hot bagels to guests, and help create a welcoming environment where every customer leaves excited to come back. This role works closely with both the front-of-house and kitchen teams to keep service running smoothly during both peak and off-peak periods.
At PopUp, we believe in building versatile team members. Bagel Bouncers are cross-trained across multiple shop stations to support the team and gain exposure to both front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
Essential Responsibilities:
· Welcome guests into the shop and provide friendly, energetic service that reflects the PopUp Bagels brand and culture.
· Take customer orders accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system and process payments efficiently.
· Bag and hand off hot bagels and menu items to guests while ensuring accuracy and presentation.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front-of-house environment, including counters, service areas, and guest-facing spaces.
· Communicate menu offerings, ingredients, and seasonal specials to guests and answer questions about products.
· Support efficient shop operations by assisting teammates during both peak and off-peak service periods.
· Work collaboratively with kitchen and service team members to maintain smooth order flow and guest satisfaction.
· Maintain compliance with Department of Health standards and PopUp Bagels food safety and sanitation procedures to support an “A” inspection grade.
· Participate in cross-training across multiple stations within the shop to support operational flexibility.
· Demonstrate professionalism and teamwork while upholding PopUp Bagels’ workplace policies.
Required Experience and Education:
· No prior restaurant or hospitality experience required; training will be provided.
· High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
· Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, or food service environments is a plus.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
· Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks during busy service periods.
· Positive attitude and willingness to help teammates and support shop operations as needed.
· Reliability, accountability, and willingness to learn new skills and stations within the shop.
· Commitment to providing a welcoming and memorable guest experience.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and move continuously for extended periods during scheduled shifts.
- Ability to frequently lift and carry items up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions such as reaching, bending, lifting, and handling food service items and supplies.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced food service environment with frequent interaction with guests and team members.
- Ability to work flexible schedules including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by shop operations.
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
