LEAD AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN
Pops’ Automotive is looking for an experienced Lead Automotive Technician to help lead our shop and maintain a high standard of workmanship. The Lead Technician will perform advanced diagnostics and repairs while providing technical guidance and support to other technicians.
Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced automotive diagnostics and repairs
- Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns
- Perform engine, transmission, suspension, steering, brake, and electrical repairs
- Use professional scan tools and diagnostic equipment
- Verify repairs and ensure vehicles are properly repaired before delivery
- Assist other technicians with difficult diagnostics and repairs
- Help establish efficient diagnostic and repair procedures
- Maintain high standards for workmanship, safety, and cleanliness
- Communicate repair findings and recommendations clearly
- Train and develop less-experienced technicians
- Take ownership of difficult jobs and help keep workflow moving efficiently
Qualifications:
- Significant professional automotive repair experience
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Extensive knowledge of modern automotive systems
- Ability to diagnose electrical, drivability, and mechanical concerns
- Comfortable using advanced scan tools and diagnostic equipment
- Own professional-grade hand tools
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- ASE certifications are preferred but not required
