What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender /Server position at Popple Bar & Grill?
Overview
We are in full swing summer and Fall is fast approaching do you need extra cash for the holidays. We are hiring for bartender/server position. Must be able to work nights, holidays, weekends and music events. Schedules are flexible you can work a couple of nights or several.
Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
- Engage with customers, providing recommendations and answering questions about drink and food options.
- Process cash and credit transactions accurately using the POS system
- Monitor customer behavior to ensure responsible alcohol service.
- Assist with music events as needed, providing bartending food services.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food and drinks.
- Keep inventory of bar supplies and assist in ordering when necessary.
Skills
- Proficient in bartending techniques and knowledge of various drink recipes.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Excellent math skills for handling cash transactions and understanding retail math.
- Experience with cash handling procedures and operating a POS system
- Ability to work effectively in fast paced environment..
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
