Position Summary:

This position is responsible for operating forklift, pallet jack, and/or other material handling equipment as part of the internal material flow process within a fast-paced warehouse and production setting in a team work environment. The Material Handler will utilize equipment while performing tasks that include receiving, unloading, scanning, moving, staging, loading, locating, relocating, and stacking product. This position is an integral part of the intralogistics and accordingly a prerequisite for a smooth and reliable process in downstream departments.

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for the movement, the allocation and proper scanning of all components within the business division (e.g. finished goods, packaging, production components like color, material or inserts), mainly within and in between production and warehouse.
• Receive in incoming goods / container in the ERP system
• Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code
• Receive in, inspect and prepare returnable bulk bin containers and ensure they are properly tracked and handled in the ERP system
• Move finished goods from production into proper bin codes and locations
• Loads, unloads, moves, stacks and stages products and materials using a forklift, clamp truck, pallet jack or other equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe warehouse and production environment

Required Education & Experience:

• High School Education or equivalency
• 2 years material handling / logistics experience required
• Automotive environment experience preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal
• Computer experience required
• Must be able to regularly lift up to 50lbs
• High attention to detail and accuracy
