PART-TIME position. Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sundays or some combination thereof. POSSIBLY LEADING TO FULL-TIME . $16/hour. Plus share of tips.

We are seeking a reliable, enthusiastic and dedicated Crew Members to join our team in a fast-paced cafe/bakery environment located in the heart of Wellesley. As a Crew Member, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring food safety and maintaining high standards of cleanliness. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a team-oriented setting and are passionate about providing quality food and service. The position involves, food preparation, pouring beverages (coffee, tea, espresso etc) and some baking and light cooking as needed. Base pay plus excellent tips are part of the pay package.

Compensation and Work Hours

• This is a part-time position possibly leading to a full-time position. Must be able to work flexible hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Shop hours are 6am-3pm. Closed on Mondays.
• Starting salary is $16/hour with a full share of excellent tips
• choice of meal provided with breaks

Duties

• Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and standards. (mostly breakfast and lunch sandwiches)
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and dining areas, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, grills, and ovens.
• Assist customers at the point of sale (POS) system, accurately processing orders and handling cash register transactions.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
• Manage time effectively to meet customer demands while maintaining quality service.
• Perform regular inventory checks and assist in restocking supplies as needed.
• Engage with customers to provide an enjoyable dining experience, addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques is a plus.
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
• Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor towards customers.
