Laundromat Attendant / Wash-and-Fold Attendant
(Part-Time Job Description)**
Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable, friendly, and detail-oriented Laundromat Attendant to join our team. This role ensures the store is clean, machines run smoothly, and customers receive excellent service. The attendant will also handle wash-and-fold orders, locker pickups, and maintain a safe, welcoming environment for all guests.
Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service
- Greet customers and offer assistance as needed
- Help customers use washers/dryers, payment systems, and the Cents app
- Handle locker pickups/drop-offs and verify customer orders
- Answer basic questions about services, pricing, and store policies
Wash-and-Fold Operations
- Receive, tag, weigh, and record customer laundry
- Follow preferences for detergents, temperatures, fabric care, and packaging
- Wash, dry, fold, and package orders neatly and accurately
- Maintain order logs and meet promised turnaround times
Store Maintenance & Cleanliness
- Keep all areas clean: floors, folding tables, machines, lint traps, bathroom
- Wipe down washers/dryers and remove items left behind
- Take out trash, restock supplies, sanitize high-touch areas
Machine & Facility Checks
- Monitor equipment and report issues immediately
- Check soap hoppers, lint traps, and general machine function
- Maintain safety protocols and keep walkways clear
Cash Handling (if applicable)
- Manage small transactions
- Record sales accurately
Requirements
- Friendly, dependable, and customer-focused
- Ability to multitask and stay organized
- Comfortable working independently
- Able to lift 20–30 lbs (laundry bags, supplies)
- Basic phone/tablet skills for Cents app
- Prior laundry or customer-service experience a plus, but not required
Schedule & Work Environment
- Standing, moving, lifting throughout shift
Pay: $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 per week
Work Location: In person
