Duties
- Support lead instructors in executing martial arts/parkour classes tailored for different age groups and skill levels
- Demonstrate, teach and fix techniques, ensuring proper form and safety during training sessions
- Manage student behavior and promote positive conduct through effective behavior management strategies
- Maintain a safe environment by monitoring class activities and enforcing safety guidelines
- Engage with students to motivate their progress both on and off the mat
- Assist with setup and cleanup of training areas, including equipment organization and sanitation
- Collaborate with staff to create an inclusive atmosphere that encourages participation and growth
Skills
- Prior experience or background in martial arts, sports, dance, or other physical activities
- Experience working with children or in childcare settings to foster trust and engagement
- Strong teaching skills with the ability to communicate instructions clearly and effectively
- Knowledge of sports coaching techniques across various activities including swimming, climbing, cheerleading, or basketball
- Ability to manage behavior positively while maintaining discipline during classes
- Familiarity with health club or gym environments to support fitness-oriented programs
- Passion for physical education and promoting healthy lifestyles among diverse age groups
