Manager Trainee

The Manager Trainee is responsible for effectively managing restaurant operations during assigned shifts while ensuring all company standards, policies, and procedures are followed. This position works directly with team members to provide high-quality food, excellent customer service, and a clean, safe, and well-maintained restaurant.

The Manager Trainee is expected to lead by example, maintain a positive and professional work environment, respond quickly to operational needs, and ensure the restaurant consistently meets company standards for food quality, cleanliness, customer service, and overall performance.

Essential Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise employees during assigned shifts to ensure smooth and efficient restaurant operations.
• Ensure company standards and procedures are followed for food quality, customer service, cleanliness, sanitation, safety, and employee conduct.
• Oversee opening, operating, and closing procedures.
• Monitor food preparation, product availability, inventory, and waste.
• Manage labor, cash, food, and supply costs within budget.
• Provide excellent customer service, address concerns, and resolve complaints professionally.
• Coach and guide employees while adjusting staffing and assignments as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-maintained restaurant and work environment.
• Communicate effectively with employees and management and assist with overall restaurant operations.

Qualifications

• 6-12 months experience in food-service management
• Reliable - Flexible - Proactive
• Have an outgoing and friendly demeanor with a passion for customer service
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and critical thinking
• Basic knowledge of technology (computers, software, hardware, etc.)
• Basic knowledge of general building and equipment maintenance
