What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinarian position at Pope Memorial Humane Society?
Join our mission to help homeless and displaced animals find loving homes! We’re seeking a compassionate part-time veterinarian (8–16 hours per week) to perform primarily spay/neuter surgeries and provide medical care for shelter animals — including exams, diagnostics, dentals, and other common procedures.
This isn’t your typical clinic setting — it’s animal-centered, mission-driven work. Your focus is entirely on the health and wellbeing of the animals in our care, helping them heal and prepare for adoption — no client appointments, no billing, just meaningful medicine that changes lives.
You’ll be working in our brand-new, fully equipped shelter-facing clinic alongside a hard-working, dedicated team that shares your passion for animal welfare.
If you’re looking to make a real difference every day, we’d love to meet you.
We offer competitive salary and benefits including but not limited to paid time off, paid holidays, Simple IRA retirement plan with matching funds, continuing education assistance etc. Please contact our Executive Director, Tracy Sala for more information. A resume and cover letter can be emailed to her directly.
