Job Title: Landscape Foreman
Reports To: Branch /Operations Manager
Pay Range: $20–$28 per hour (DOE)
Position Summary
The Landscape Foreman is responsible for leading and managing a field crew to safely and efficiently complete landscape installation and/or maintenance projects. This role ensures that all work meets PLI’s quality standards, is completed on schedule, and reflects a high level of customer service and professionalism. The Landscape Foreman is a working leader who both supervises and participates in daily production.

Core Job Duties
- Lead, direct, and motivate a landscape crew on commercial sites
- Review daily work orders, plans, and schedules; ensure all tools, materials, and equipment are ready for the day
- Install softscape and hardscape elements (planting, sod, mulch, edging, seasonal color, minor hardscape, etc.)
- Ensure all work is performed according to company quality standards and landscape plans/specifications
- Train crew members on proper horticultural practices, equipment operation, and safety procedures
- Perform jobsite walk-throughs to identify quality issues, safety concerns, and improvement opportunities
- Communicate professionally with clients, GC superintendents, and internal teams as needed
- Complete basic paperwork and reporting (time sheets, daily production reports, material use)
- Ensure proper care, cleaning, and basic maintenance of vehicles, tools, and equipment
- Enforce safety policies and use of PPE; promptly report incidents or near-misses
- Assist with snow removal or other seasonal services as required
- Other landscape management duties as applicable
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly Pay: $20–$28 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
- Eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable laws

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum 2–3 years of professional landscape experience; prior foreman/lead experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of horticultural practices and plant identification (or willingness to learn)
- Strong verbal communication skills with crew, clients, and supervisors
- Time management skills and ability to plan the crew’s day efficiently
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
- Ability to walk, stand, crouch, and perform strenuous physical tasks for extended periods
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. repeatedly through an entire work shift
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record (CDL a plus but not required)
Work Conditions
