Buffalo Creek Golf Course in Palmetto, Florida is looking to expand its golf course maintenance crew. We are seeking to fill one full-time position to assist with daily maintenance of golf course and grounds.
Individuals with experience will be given preference. The ideal candidate will be trained in operation of all manner of golf course maintenance equipment including but not limited to triplexes, fairway mowers, tractors, topdressers, hand tools, etc.
Position Responsibilities:
- Mowing roughs, tees, fairways, greens.
- Daily upkeep of tasks including removal of trash, rotating tee markers, cup cutting, restroom cleanings, etc.
- Maintenance of bunkers, cart paths, pond banks, tree work.
- Following oral and written instruction and communicating well with coworkers.
- Clubhouse grounds and parking lot maintenance including driving range and practice area.
- Planting, trimming and renovating assorted landscaping, ornamentals and sod.
Requirements:
- Must have reliable personal transportation, be punctual and maintain good attendance.
- Perform tasks in a safe, timely and orderly manner and utilize proper PPE as instructed by supervisors.
- Work outdoors in conditions of heat, humidity, physical strain and sun exposure for extended periods of time.
- Lift up to 50 lbs. and be capable of performing all duties associated with manual labor aspect of position.
- Willing to work alternating weekends, short morning shifts on certain holidays.
- Experienced individuals preferred.
