Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages including cocktails, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic options using established recipes or custom creations
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Process cash and card transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Engage with guests to provide exceptional customer service, answer questions about menu items, and recommend drinks based on preferences
- Develop new beverage recipes and contribute to the ongoing refinement of our drink menu
- Manage bar inventory by restocking supplies, monitoring stock levels, and placing orders as needed
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure seamless food and beverage service during events or busy periods
- Uphold responsible alcohol service policies and verify guest age when serving alcoholic beverages
- Assist in bar management tasks including scheduling, training new staff, and maintaining a welcoming environment
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a bartender in fine dining or hospitality settings with strong cocktail experience and mixology skills
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for processing transactions efficiently
- Familiarity with beverage recipe development, wine knowledge, craft beer experience, spirits expertise, and food safety standards
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours
- Previous restaurant or food service experience; banquet or catering experience is a plus
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and retail math for inventory management
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment
- Hospitality industry experience preferred; retail math or food handling certification is advantageous
