Pop Pop Kettle Corn is a fun, high-energy, family-driven popcorn business bringing fresh kettle corn to the Chattanooga area. We pride ourselves on great vibes, great service, and a product people love.
Position Overview:
We’re looking for a reliable, outgoing team member to operate one of our kettle corn stands. This role is hands-on and customer-facing—you’ll be responsible for setting up the stand, making kettle corn on-site, and creating a great experience for every customer. Duties include operating the stand at two of our weekday roadside locations, a Friday night summer concert series, professional sporting events, and other opportunities that arise.
Schedule:
- Wednesday & Thursday: 2:45 PM – 6:45 PM
- Friday: ~4:00 PM – 10:00 PM
- Regularly on Saturdays - hours vary (availability required)
- Approx. 15–20 hours per week
Responsibilities:
- Drive company vehicle with attached trailer to/from locations
- Set up and break down kettle corn stand
- Prepare and cook kettle corn on-site
- Package and sell product to customers
- Provide friendly, upbeat customer service
- Handle cash and basic transactions
- Maintain a clean, organized work area
- Assist with other duties as needed
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Comfortable driving a vehicle with a trailer
- Reliable transportation to/from meeting point
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather
- Able to lift and move equipment (up to ~50 lbs)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- Must have a reliable smartphone
Preferred (Not Required):
- Experience in food service, retail, or events
- Experience towing a trailer
