What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Coordintor position at POP Manufacturing, Inc.?
Who we are
POP Manufacturing is a growing company specializing in custom point-of-purchase displays, store fixtures, and retail display manufacturing. We design and produce POP displays, merchandising fixtures, floor displays, counter displays, and custom retail signage for brands and retailers nationwide. We're a small, fast-moving team where everyone contributes beyond their job title — and we're looking for someone who thrives in that kind of environment.
The role
This is a hands-on Project Coordinator position in a custom display and fixture manufacturing environment. You'll be responsible for keeping multiple jobs moving simultaneously — tracking production timelines, coordinating materials and vendors, managing documentation, and stepping onto the production floor when needed to verify quality, inspect components, or keep a project on track. No two days look the same.
While this role has coordinator in the title, it requires someone willing to roll up their sleeves and get involved wherever the job demands. If you're looking for a desk-only position this isn't it — but if you enjoy being in the middle of the action and seeing projects through from start to finish, you'll fit right in.
This is an in-office, full-time position in Kenosha, WI.
Responsibilities
- Project coordination: tracking job progress, production timelines, and delivery deadlines across multiple simultaneous projects
- Purchasing support: placing material orders, managing vendor communications, and following up on outstanding items
- Logistics coordination: scheduling shipments, coordinating deliveries, and keeping shipping documentation current
- Record management: maintaining accurate job documentation, order details, and project files
- Internal communications: ensuring consistent information flow between departments
You're a strong fit if you:
- Have experience in a project coordination, operations, or manufacturing support role
- Experience in point-of-purchase display, store fixture, or retail display manufacturing is a strong plus
- Are comfortable moving between office and production floor environments
- Can manage multiple moving parts without losing track of the details
- Learn systems and processes quickly without needing step-by-step guidance
- Communicate clearly, follow up without being asked, and close the loop
- Thrive in a small company where the work isn't always perfectly defined
- Are proficient with spreadsheets, email, and project tracking tools
- Are comfortable using a tape measure and taking accurate physical measurements
This is probably not the right role if you:
- Are looking for a purely office-based or desk-only position
- Need a highly structured environment with formal training and defined procedures
- Prefer to focus on one type of work rather than wearing multiple hats
- Are expecting a large corporate environment with clear departmental boundaries
