Duties
- Collect and remove pet waste from lawns, yards, parks, and other designated outdoor areas using appropriate tools and safety equipment
- Maintain cleanliness of work sites by disposing of waste properly and ensuring surrounding areas are tidy
- Conduct routine inspections of outdoor spaces to identify areas needing attention or additional maintenance
- Operate basic landscaping tools such as rakes, shovels, and hand tools to assist with cleanup efforts
- Assist with related outdoor maintenance tasks including lawn care, landscape upkeep, or minor repairs as needed
- Follow safety protocols when handling equipment like power tools or small machinery such as excavators or snow plows during seasonal tasks
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate daily routes and ensure timely completion of assignments
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and small outdoor equipment
- Experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, or gardening practices
- Ability to operate equipment such as excavators or snow plowing machinery (nice-to-have)
- Knowledge of horticulture principles and basic landscaping techniques
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions including lifting, bending, and walking for extended periods
