Primary Purpose
Provide students with engaging learning experiences in Agricultural Science while promoting leadership development, career readiness, and hands-on learning through classroom instruction, laboratory experiences, and participation in the FFA organization.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university

Valid Texas teaching certificate in Agricultural Science and Technology (Grades 6–12)

CDL certification or ability to obtain preferred

Ability to manage agricultural facilities and maintain a safe instructional environment
Responsibilities
-
Teach assigned Agricultural Science courses aligned with Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS)

Serve as FFA Advisor, supporting student leadership development and participation in FFA activities and competitions

Supervise and support student Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) projects
-
Coordinate and assist students participating in livestock shows, leadership contests, and judging competitions

Maintain and manage the agricultural science classroom, shop, and program facilities
-
Communicate effectively with parents, students, and community stakeholders

Participate in professional development and district meetings as required
