Groundskeeper
Gerspach Properties LLC is looking for an experienced Groundskeeper to join its staff. It manages the property that PoolSupplies.com occupies at 574 Main Street in Tonawanda, NY. PoolSupplies.com is one of the largest online and catalog retailers of swimming pool products and supplies in the country.
In this role you will actively maintain our facilities to uphold the highest standards of health and safety, creating a secure and supportive environment for our employees
Duties & Responsibilities:
Perform routine exterior maintenance of the office and warehouse.
- Inspect exterior regularly, reporting issues to manager.
- Monitor condition of fencing.
- Mow, trim, and weed Company property.
- Keep parking lots, sidewalks, and entrances free of snow by plowing, snow blowing, shoveling, and salting.
- Pick up trash and litter.
- Sort, stack, store, and dispose of pallets.
- Clean and organize exterior dock areas.
Drive company vehicles to pick up supplies and make deliveries.
Assist Facilities Department with any assigned duties.
- Racking, painting, demolition, and trash removal.
- Support cleaning staff by vacuuming warehouse aisles, emptying trash, and collecting cardboard.
Follow safety protocols and procedures.
Provide support to Facilities team members as well as perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- At least 1 yr of experience in snow removal, snow plowing, snow blowing.
- 6 months of Maintenance experience; painting, minor repair work.
- Ability to use mowers, weeders and hand tools.
- Valid NY State Drivers’ License
Physical Requirements:
This position requires the ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time including walking up and down stairs and ladders. The ability to bend, lift, reach, and walk with up to 50 lbs. is necessary as is working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
