Tumbling Coach – Pooler Cheer (Saturday Program)

Position Overview

Pooler Cheer is seeking an energetic, positive, and reliable Tumbling Coach to lead and assist with cheer and tumbling classes for athletes ages 2–12 years old. This is a part-time, Saturday-only position focused on building strong fundamentals, confidence, and a love for movement in a fun and structured environment.

Schedule

• Saturdays only
• Typical hours: (Insert specific times, e.g., 7:30 AM – 2:15 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and assist tumbling classes for ages 2–12
• Teach basic to intermediate tumbling skills (rolls, cartwheels, handstands, bridges, etc.)
• Create a fun, safe, and structured class environment
• Break down skills into age-appropriate progressions
• Maintain control of class while keeping high energy and engagement
• Provide encouragement and positive feedback to all athletes
• Ensure safety standards are followed at all times
• Communicate professionally with parents when needed
• Assist with setup, breakdown and cleaning of equipment and mats

Qualifications

• Experience in cheerleading, gymnastics, or tumbling preferred
• Experience working with children (especially ages 2–12)
• High energy, positive attitude
• Ability to manage groups of young children effectively
• Dependable and punctual
• CPR/First Aid certification (preferred but not required)
