What are the responsibilities and job description for the Trial Attorney position at Poole Huffman?
We’re looking for a seasoned Associate (8 years) with a track record of originating work and managing matters to join our business litigation team at Poole Huffman in Tucker, GA.
This is not a “support” role. You will run cases, drive strategy, and operate like a future partner from day one. We handle high-stakes business disputes: shareholder fights, fraud, business divorce. This is meaningful work with real consequences.
What you’ll do:
- Manage litigation matters from start to finish
- Take and defend depositions, argue hearings, and prepare for trial
- Draft and argue substantive motions
- Lead discovery strategy and execution
- Communicate directly with clients and keep them informed
- Mentor junior attorneys and work closely with partners
- Participate in business development and client growth efforts
What we’re looking for:
- 8 years of business litigation experience
- Confident managing cases independently from day one
- Strong writer and strategic thinker
- Comfortable in the courtroom and in front of clients
- A book of business is a plus, but not required
- A genuine interest in building client relationships is required
- High ownership mindset and high accountability

Compensation varies based on experience, performance, and ability to generate business.
- 1,600 billable hour minimum
- Additional upside for attorneys who originate and grow client relationships
