Poole Huffman, LLC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Attorney to join our growing litigation practice. The ideal candidate will have experience handling complex commercial litigation matters, bankruptcy proceedings, and post-judgment collection efforts on behalf of creditors, lenders, and businesses. Strong analytical skills, courtroom confidence, and the ability to manage cases independently are essential.
What you’ll do:
- Manage a caseload from inception through resolution
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal memoranda
- Conduct hearings, mediations, depositions, and court appearances
- Handle post-judgment collection and enforcement proceedings
- Represent creditors, lenders, and businesses in bankruptcy matters
- Analyze financial records, collateral positions, and recovery strategies
- Negotiate settlements, payment arrangements, and workout agreements
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and courts
- Participate in business development and client relationship management
- Collaborate with attorneys and staff in a fast-paced litigation environment
Qualifications
- 4 years of business litigation experience
- Bankruptcy litigation and creditors' rights representation
- Confident managing cases independently from day one
- Strong writer and strategic thinker
- Comfortable in the courtroom and in front of clients
- A book of business is a plus, but not required
- A genuine interest in building client relationships is required
- High ownership mindset and high accountability
