Position Overview: We are seeking a friendly, detail-oriented, and motivated person to join our team. This position is key to ensuring a smooth, welcoming experience for all patients from their initial phone call to their departure. Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Interaction: Greet and welcome patients in a warm and friendly manner, making them feel comfortable and at ease.
- Phone Management: Answer phone calls, provide general information, and schedule appointments with accuracy.
- Check-In and Check-Out: Efficiently check in patients, verify insurance details, and process patient check-out after appointments.
- Office Flow: Help maintain the flow of the office, ensuring timely patient flow, minimizing wait times, and assisting with general office tasks as needed.
- Cross-Training Opportunities: Over time, you will be cross-trained for additional responsibilities, including the optometric technician role, insurance eligibility and assisting with optical sales
- Problem-Solving: Handle any scheduling conflicts, patient concerns, or other issues with a problem-solving mindset, ensuring a smooth patient experience.
- Administrative Tasks: Maintain office email and fax records making sure emails and faxes are distributed to doctor and staff as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Critical thinking and problem solving skills to address customer needs and find solutions effectively
- Self-motivation and initiative to identify tasks that need to be completed without direct supervision.
- Previous experience or customer service background is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a positive attitude.
- Ability to multitask and handle various responsibilities simultaneously.
- Comfortable discussing patient's financial responsibilities and collecting amounts due
- Reliable and punctual with a commitment to maintaining high standards of customer service.
