Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of floors, carpets, restrooms, offices, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and techniques.
• Handle chemical agents safely, including floor cleaning chemicals, floor waxing solutions, and other cleaning agents, following all safety protocols.
• Operate cleaning machinery such as floor scrubbers, buffers, polishers, and vacuums to maintain floors in pristine condition.
• Conduct floor care procedures including buffing, polishing, refinishing, and waxing to restore shine and extend the lifespan of flooring surfaces.
• Assist with heavy lifting tasks involving cleaning equipment or supplies to ensure efficient workflow while adhering to manual handling safety standards.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring proper storage and timely replenishment.
• Follow environmental services guidelines by using eco-friendly products whenever possible and disposing of waste responsibly.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing any cleaning-related concerns promptly and professionally.

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services with knowledge of janitorial procedures.
• Skilled in floor scrubbing, buffing, waxing, and refinishing techniques for various flooring types.
• Ability to handle chemical agents safely with proper knowledge of floor cleaning chemicals and their applications.
• Proficient in operating different types of cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffers, vacuums, and carpet cleaners.
• Strong manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy objects safely during routine tasks.
• Excellent attention to detail ensuring all areas are thoroughly cleaned to high standards.
• Good communication skills coupled with a customer service-oriented approach.
• Knowledge of environmental services practices emphasizing eco-friendly products and procedures.

Pay: $22.00 - $32.50 per hour
