What are the responsibilities and job description for the Swimming Pool Technician position at Pool Technician?
Local Pool Company is looking for a PART TIME leading into FULL TIME pool cleaning technician. The Swimming Pool Technician will be fully responsible for the proper care and cleaning of their own individual accounts. This includes but is not limited to: maintaining perfect water chemistry, checking equipment for proper working condition, adding chemicals to properly balance water, not have any adverse reactions to any of the chemicals used to clean pools, removing all debris from pools, brushing all surfaces/walls/steps/tile/etc., managing individual inventory, keeping the work truck clean, fill out customer logs, cleaning filters monthly, installing minor items, vacuuming of the pools, and anything else needed to ensure a clean and clear pool. *Experience with repairs is a plus*

Hours are normally between 7:30 am to 4:00 pm but can vary depending on the current conditions of the pool that day, number of pools on the schedule, types of services performed, ect. Nights and weekends off. Major holidays off. You'll get 1 week vacation for the week of Thanksgiving. 1 week vacation between Christmas Eve and New Years Day. After the first year of FULL TIME employment, you will recieve another week off of your choice on an approved week. Opportunities to earn extra money on side jobs are available.
Must be able to work in the direct sunlight for 8-10 hrs a day in the Florida heat. Must be able to carry up to, and sometimes exceeding, 50 pounds regularly throughout the day. Must be able to constantly bend, pull, push, carry, stand, sit, twist, walk, and maneuver throughout the day. Must have reliable transportation to and from work. Prior experience is a plus, but not required. CPO certification is a plus. HS Diploma or equivalent required minimum. This job requires high standards relating to the work performed and the image represented of the company by the employee. Job success is individually determined by customer satisfaction and good customer relations. Pool service technicians must be able to communicate politely and complete all work in a timely and accurate manner. The associate must be willing to work in adverse weather conditions, as long as it is safe. Must be a licensed driver in the State of Florida with a clean driving record for a minimum of the previous 5 years. Must comply strictly to all road signs, driving rules and regulations, and be noted for safe and courteous driving habits while operating company vehicles.
