Outside Sales

Pay: Compensation commensurate with experience

Summary/Objective

The Outside Sales Representative will sell products and services offered by the company to current and new clientele.   

Essential Function

• At least three years of pool industry experience required.
• Must be willing to travel, occasionally may require overnight stay. 
• Build and maintain a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads.
• Communicate with customers and help them identify and understand their product or service needs; identify and suggest products and services to meet those needs.
• Demonstrate the functions and utility of products or services to customers based on their needs.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolve any issues that may arise post-sale.
• Maintain communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest.
• Maintain detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems.
• Provide periodic territory sales forecasts.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, sales, business, or related field or at least five years of related experience required. 
• Valid Class C United States Driver’s License is required.
• An insurable driving record is required. 

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  

 This position may require prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or standing and working on a computer.  Must be able to lift-up-to 100 pounds at times.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position.  Typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.  Based on branch location, work hours are subject to change.  Must be flexible to work additional hours, evenings, weekends, and Saturdays during peak season.
