Duties
- Perform comprehensive inspections of pools and spas to identify issues with pumps, filters, heaters, valves, and other equipment.
- Repair or replace faulty mechanical components using hand tools and power tools efficiently and safely.
- Conduct routine pool maintenance including cleaning filters, checking chemical levels, and ensuring water quality standards are met.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems related to pool equipment to diagnose malfunctions accurately.
- Maintain detailed service records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used for each client site.
- Assist with seasonal opening and closing procedures to prepare pools for use or winterization.
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance recommendations clearly to clients.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized pool maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of pool cleaning techniques, chemical balancing, and general pool maintenance best practices.
- Previous experience as a service technician or in a similar repair role within the pool or spa industry is preferred.
