Duties
- Perform professional grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and nail clipping tailored to each dog’s breed and individual needs
- Handle dogs safely and confidently using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure comfort and security during grooming sessions
- Assess each pet’s coat condition, skin health, and overall well-being to recommend appropriate grooming treatments or veterinary referrals if necessary
- Maintain a clean, organized grooming station and sanitize tools regularly to uphold hygiene standards
- Communicate clearly with pet owners about grooming procedures, aftercare instructions, and any health concerns observed during the session
- Assist with pet handling during check-in and check-out processes, providing excellent customer service to build trust and loyalty
- Support team members with additional animal care tasks such as kennel cleaning or pet sitting when needed
Experience
- Previous experience in pet grooming or animal handling is highly preferred - I will train the correct person which can take 6-8 months of proper training and the cost is $4,000 for my program which includes the purchase of all the tools you will need.
- Experience working with various animals including dogs is advantageous for handling diverse pets confidently.
- Ability to work as a team and get along with everyone and customers.
- Strong customer service skills to ensure positive interactions with pet owners and team members alike.
- Treating my home like your own and being respectful and maintaining a clean work environment,
- Familiarity with kennel operations, pet sitting, animal restraint, and general pet care practices ensures comprehensive support for our furry clients
