Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations of the dog facility, including staff coordination and workflow management
- Oversee dog handling and behavioral assessments to ensure optimal care
- Ensure proper animal restraint techniques are followed during handling and procedures to guarantee safety for both pets and staff
- Assist with pet sitting duties, including feeding, walking, and administering medication as needed
- Maintain high standards of pet care by monitoring health conditions and coordinating veterinary services when necessary
- Train and mentor team members on dog handling and customer service protocols
- Manage heavy lifting tasks related to equipment, supplies, or kennel cleaning to maintain a clean and safe environment
Experience
- Proven experience in dog handling and kennel management
- Strong background in pet sitting, or animal care services
- Prior veterinary experience or dog boarding/daycare background highly desirable
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members
- Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a busy setting
- Knowledge of animal restraint techniques and behavior management practices
