Overview
Seeking a professional to safely operate, maintain, and repair ammonia refrigeration systems while performing troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and ensuring compliance with Process Safety Management (PSM) requirements.
Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain, and repair ammonia refrigeration equipment (pumps, compressors, condensers, evaporators, etc.)
- Troubleshoot system issues to ensure optimal performance
- Perform preventive maintenance
- Assist with maintaining and updating the PSM program
- Follow all ammonia and refrigeration safety protocols
- Document maintenance, inspections, and repairs
- Install and modify refrigeration systems
- Calibrate equipment as needed
- Maintain additional utilities (boilers, HVAC, water systems)
- Perform other assigned duties
Qualifications
- Associate degree or vocational/technical certification in a maintenance technician program
- 3–5 years of ammonia refrigeration experience, including system installation, design, troubleshooting, and repair
- Experience in food or dairy processing preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $62,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
