What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chef de Cuisine position at Ponto Lago at Park Hyatt Aviara?
We are looking for a Chef de Cuisine for our fine dining Baja Restaurant Ponto Lago. The Chef de cuisine responsibilities include creating innovative, refine and balance dishes in line with our high-quality standards and concepts that fulfill guest experience and build memories. We are looking for a Chef de cuisine with deep knowledge of Baja cuisine at Michelin * level, a chef that show care and support to his team and can adapt to a corporate environment.
Chef de Cuisine Responsibilities include:
- Act as senior leadership by developing and assuming key management responsibilities
- Assume the role of liaison between all dining room operations and culinary staff
- Supervise the preparation and cooking of various food items
- Develop and implement creative menu items within the restaurant concept
- Plan, coordinate & implement special events and holiday functions
- Manage hourly kitchen employees through scheduling, payroll, training, coaching, evaluating and hiring
- May manage other key culinary leadership rolls including supervisor and other less senior Sous Chefs
- Lead and coach the team with an approach or caring and achieving exceptional guest service and employee satisfaction results
- Monitor food production, ordering, cost, and quality and consistency on a daily basis
- Participate in marketing events directly related to their specific restaurant.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
