**Major Duties and Responsibilities:**
1. Uphold the highest standards of nursing practice while actively implementing facility policies.
2. Clearly communicate policies and procedures to nursing staff, residents, families, and physicians, ensuring understanding and compliance.
3. Take charge of resident care, providing leadership and immediate corrective actions when necessary.
4. Secure thorough nursing reports to guarantee seamless follow-up and continuity of care.
5. Proactively manage staffing levels to fully meet residents' needs, ensuring safe and effective care.
6. Conduct daily resident rounds, swiftly addressing and escalating issues to management for resolution.
7. Identify and eliminate safety hazards without delay, prioritizing resident wellbeing.
8. Effectively respond to emergencies and administer life-saving measures when a physician is unavailable.
9. Champion the Residents' Rights Program, fostering a culture of respect and dignity for all.
10. Supervise and mentor nursing assistants, while actively contributing to essential meetings and training sessions.
11. Strategically assign nursing duties based on staff qualifications and the specific needs of residents.
12. Ensure unwavering compliance with all regulatory requirements and play a pivotal role in staff evaluations.
