Responsibilities
Plan, organize, and oversee the daily operations of the dietary department
Ensure all meals meet nutritional guidelines and individual dietary needs
Supervise and schedule dietary staff, providing ongoing training and support
Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations (including sanitation and safety)
Manage inventory, ordering, and food cost controls within budget
Collaborate with nursing and administrative staff to provide exceptional resident care
Foster a positive, team-oriented kitchen culture
Qualifications
Prior experience in food service management, preferably in a healthcare or senior living environment
Must be Certified Food Protection Certified, or a Dietetic Service supervisor
Strong knowledge of dietary regulations for skilled nursing facilities
Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
Excellent organizational and communication skills
ServSafe certification or equivalent (or willingness to obtain)
