The Director, National Clinical Services and Quality plays a critical leadership role in ensuring clinical programs operate efficiently, meet regulatory standards, and deliver measurable improvements in patient outcomes. Position Overview
The Director, Virginia Clinical Services and Quality provide leadership, oversight, and strategic direction for clinical services, quality improvement initiatives, and performance outcomes across Ponos Care programs. This role ensures clinical teams operate effectively within value-based care frameworks while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulatory standards.
The Director collaborates with executive leadership to strengthen care delivery models, improve quality metrics, and support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance patient outcomes and operational effectiveness.
This role ensures clinical operations align with Ponos Care’s mission to deliver equitable, innovative, and high-quality care services.
Core Responsibilities
1. Clinical Services Leadership & Strategy
- Provide leadership and direction for clinical services delivery across Nursing and LTSS teams
- Ensure clinical services align with value-based care, population health, and organizational goals
- Implement scalable care delivery models that improve member engagement, retention, and outcomes
- Support growth and integration of clinical service lines
2. Quality of Care & Performance Management
- Oversee quality of clinical services and patient interactions across all touchpoints
- Monitor and improve:
- Member retention and continuity of care
- Patient satisfaction and experience
- Clinical outcomes and care quality metrics (HEDIS, NCQA)
- Implement performance improvement and corrective action plans
3. Regulatory & Clinical Compliance
- Ensure all clinical services meet federal, state, and payer regulatory requirements
- Maintain compliance with clinical documentation, HIPAA, and patient safety standards
- Ensure audit readiness and successful compliance outcomes
- Reduce clinical and operational risk exposure
4. Clinical Operations & Service Delivery
- Oversee day-to-day clinical service operations across Nursing, LTSS and SDOH/SW
- Optimize care coordination workflows and service delivery efficiency
- Monitor service utilization, productivity, and engagement outcomes
- Identify and implement improvements to enhance clinical service effectiveness
5. Team Leadership & Workforce Management
- Lead Nurse Managers, LTSS leaders, and clinical staff delivering services
- Accountable for:
- Hiring, onboarding, performance management, and terminations
- Drive-staff performance, accountability, and engagement
- Maintain strong workforce stability (target: 95–98% retention)
6. Collaboration & Clinical Integration
- Partner with executive leadership and cross-functional teams
- Collaborate with analytics to improve clinical service performance insights
- Support integration of clinical services across programs and stakeholders
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or related field
- Master’s degree preferred (MSN, MHA, MPH, MBA)
- Active RN license preferred
- 7 years’ experience in clinical operations, quality management, or healthcare leadership
- Experience with HEDIS, NCQA, Medicaid, or value-based care models preferred
- Experience in home health, managed care, or population health environments preferred
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and clinical performance standards

Salary : $135,000 - $150,000
