Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and motivated Retail Sales Associate to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, and maintaining a clean and organized sales environment and cashier. The ideal candidate will have experience in retail, possess strong communication skills, and be able to handle various responsibilities in a fast-paced setting. Previous experience with POS system, Micros POS, as well as knowledge is preferred. This position offers an opportunity to develop valuable skills in sales, upselling, and customer service within a dynamic retail environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with product selection and inquiries
- Operate POS systems including Micros POS for transactions
- Handle cash, credit card payments, and perform cashiering duties accurately
- Upsell products and promote special offers to enhance sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in areas, including entire store when we close.
- Restock shelves, organize displays, and ensure merchandise is presented attractively
- Assist with food preparation, serving, bussing tables, and basic kitchen duties as needed
- Follow store safety protocols
- Support team members in maintaining a welcoming shopping environment
Skills
- Experience in retail store environments preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems Micros POS
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse clientele
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and transaction processing
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy periods
- Ability to upsell products effectively while maintaining a friendly demeanor
- Knowledge of the standards in retail store setting
- Experience with cashiering process
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
