Position Overview:
Pono Security is seeking a professional, reliable, and customer-focused Security Officer to provide security services at Haiku Market in Haiku, Maui. The Security Officer will maintain a safe and welcoming environment for customers, tenants, employees, and visitors while helping protect property and assets through proactive patrols and professional security presence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular foot patrols throughout the market and surrounding property.
- Monitor for suspicious activity, theft, vandalism, trespassing, and safety hazards.
- Provide a visible and professional security presence.
- Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, and emergencies.
- Assist customers, vendors, and tenants as needed.
- Enforce property rules, policies, and safety procedures.
- Complete accurate daily activity reports and incident reports.
- Coordinate with management, law enforcement, and emergency services when necessary.
- Maintain a professional appearance and excellent customer service standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous security, military, law enforcement, or customer service experience is a plus.
- Strong communication and observation skills.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
