Position:
Special Education ESY Coordinator/Teacher
Klamath Falls City Schools is seeking a highly motivated and self-reliant ESY Coordinator/Teacher to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of our Extended School Year program. This role requires an independent, solution-oriented leader capable of managing all aspects of the ESY program, including delivery of instruction, without direct administrative support. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter who excels in decision-making, problem-solving, and effective communication.
This position is ideal for a highly organized individual who thrives when working autonomously and takes full ownership of program outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:

Independently manage all operational and logistical components of the ESY program from start to finish including transportation and nursing services.

Develop schedules, secure staffing, coordinate student services, and communicate with families and staff.

Address issues as they arise, using sound judgment and resourcefulness to ensure smooth program delivery.

Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal requirements related to special education and ESY services.

Serve as the sole point of contact for all ESY-related concerns and decisions.
- Ensure the delivery of all Specially Designd Instruction per the stuent's IEP.
- ESY plan to be submitted to the Special Services Director by July 3, 2026.
Qualifications:

Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative.

Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.

Experience in school leadership, program coordination, and/or special education is preferred.
ESY Dates:
ESY services will be delivered at the Ponderosa Middle School Campus from Monday, August 3, 2026 through Friday, August 14, 2026.
Specific times to be determined by coordinator/teacher after review of individual student needs.
Salary:
$5,000 stipend
