Assistant Manager – Retail Operations (Liquor Store)
Full-Time | Dickinson, ND

We’re a busy, family-owned liquor store seeking a dependable, hands-on Assistant Manager – Retail Operations to help lead the store, support the team, and keep day-to-day operations running smoothly.

Schedule & Pay
- Full-time (38–40 hours/week)
- Alternating schedule: Monday–Friday one week, Tuesday–Saturday the next
- Hours: 10:00 AM–6:00 PM with a 30-minute unpaid lunch
Note: Saturday shifts are typically 8:30 AM–4:00 PM, but may occasionally be 4:00 PM–11:00 PM
- $17–$23/hour, depending on experience, reliability, and motivation
- Performance-based raises available after 6 months
What You’ll Do
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service
- Open and close the store with confidence
- Support freight check-in, stocking, inventory, and merchandising
- Lead by example and help enforce store expectations and policies
- Assist in onboarding and training new staff
- Help implement operational systems and improvements
- Take initiative to solve problems and keep things running smoothly
- Cover for the store manager when needed
What We’re Looking For
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Reliable and punctual — we don’t micromanage, so we need someone who will show up and do their job
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs, stock shelves, and move quickly when needed
- Calm under pressure and motivated to take ownership
- Friendly and respectful with customers and coworkers
- Comfortable with hands-on tasks and jumping in where needed
- Retail or customer service experience strongly preferred
- Management or keyholder experience a plus — but we’ll train the right person
- Background check may be required
