Environmental Field Supervisor

Ponder Environmental Services is seeking an Environmental Field Supervisor to oversee daily field activities, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality project execution. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with strong technical knowledge and a commitment to safety and training excellence.

• Supervise, mentor, and train field operations personnel and lead technicians.


• Coordinate and direct on-site activities, including clean-up crews and equipment operations.


• Operate and maintain field equipment, including heavy machinery and forklifts.


• Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of field systems and tools.


• Ensure compliance with all safety standards, permits, and company policies.


• Accurately complete company and customer documentation in a timely manner.


• Maintain clear communication with clients, operations, dispatch, and crew members.


• Travel and overtime may be required.

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or GED required; additional technical training preferred.


• 5-7 years of relevant field experience in environmental, construction, or industrial operations.


• 2 years minimum of supervisory experience 


• Knowledge of construction, pumping systems, confined space entry, and chemical handling.


• Experience with heavy equipment, respiratory protection, and PPE usage.


• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• Valid California Driver’s License and a clean DMV required


• 40-hour HAZWOPER certification required.


• TWIC Card


• HAZMAT Certification


• 40-Hour HAZWOPER with current 8-hour refresher


• Confined Space Entry & Rescue


• First Aid/CPR Certification
